Product Description

The HEARTHRITE HRW18MN is an 18,000 BTU infrared and radiant vent-free gas heater designed for natural gas service. Operating without a flue or chimney connection, it delivers 99.9% fuel efficiency by keeping all combustion heat in the conditioned space. The unit runs on a standing pilot with manual control and is suited for supplemental or primary zone heating in residential or light commercial applications. A built-in Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) continuously monitors oxygen levels and automatically shuts the heater off if levels fall below a safe threshold. Wall mounting hardware is included; an optional floor stand is available separately.

This heater is intended for use in rooms where a flue connection is impractical or not available. Standard installation is wall mount, though the optional floor stand allows freestanding placement. A blower accessory is available separately to improve warm-air circulation throughout the space. The HRW18MN is rated for natural gas only and comes in a white finish. A thermostatic-control version of this unit, the HRW18TN, is also available. Professional installation by a certified gas technician is required, and all repairs must be performed by a qualified service contractor.

Installation Notes

Installation must be performed by a licensed gas technician in compliance with all applicable local codes. Shut off the gas supply at the service valve before beginning any connection work. Required clearances must be maintained: 36 inches to the ceiling above, 3 inches to the floor below, and 8 inches to any side wall. Do not operate the unit without verifying that the ODS pilot assembly is functioning and that inlet gas pressure falls within the specified range.
