The HEARTHRITE HRW10MN is a vent-free infrared and radiant gas heater rated at 10,000 BTU/h for natural gas. Operating at 99.9% AFUE efficiency, it delivers heat directly into the living space with no flue or chimney required, meaning virtually no heat is lost to exhaust. The unit uses a standing pilot ignition and a manual control valve for straightforward, reliable operation. A factory-installed Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) continuously monitors ambient oxygen levels and automatically shuts the heater off if levels fall below a safe threshold. The white-finish cabinet mounts to a wall using the included wall kit, or can be floor-mounted with an optional stand sold separately. Installation must be performed by a certified gas technician in compliance with all applicable local codes.
The HRW10MN is suited for supplemental or zone heating in residential spaces such as bedrooms, workshops, cabins, or additions where running ductwork or a flue is impractical. The infrared and radiant flame type warms objects and surfaces in the space rather than relying solely on convection, making it effective in areas with drafts or high ceilings. An optional blower accessory is available to improve heat distribution. Note that vent-free gas appliances cannot be shipped to or installed in the state of California. For propane applications, a separate LP model (HRW10ML) is available.
The HRW10MN is designed for use with natural gas supply only. It is an OEM-style vent-free infrared wall or floor heater intended for residential supplemental heating applications. A propane-compatible version, the HRW10ML, is available separately for LP installations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed or certified gas technician in accordance with IFGC requirements and all applicable local codes. Shut off the gas supply at the main valve before making any connections. Maintain minimum clearances of 36 inches to the ceiling, 3 inches to the floor, and 8 inches to any side wall. The gas connection requires a 3/8-inch fitting; inlet gas pressure must fall between 7.0 and 10.5 inches water column, and manifold pressure must be set to 6.0 inches water column. Repairs must be made by a qualified service contractor — do not attempt to service the ODS or gas valve without proper training and tooling.
