Product Description

The HEARTHRITE HBW30TL is a 30,000 BTU/h vent-free blue flame gas heater designed for liquid propane (LP) operation in residential and light commercial spaces. Blue flame technology heats air directly, allowing natural convection to distribute warmth throughout the room. The unit operates at 99.9% AFUE efficiency and runs without electrical power, making it reliable during outages. A built-in Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) automatically shuts the heater down before oxygen levels reach an unsafe threshold. Thermostatic control maintains consistent room temperature. Installation is handled by a licensed or certified gas technician.

The HBW30TL is suited for living rooms, garages, workshops, and supplemental heating zones where a vent pipe is not practical or available. It mounts to a wall using the included wall kit or can be floor-mounted with the optional floor stand kit. LP models must be connected to a tank of 100 lbs or larger with an external regulator supplying 11 to 14 inches water column (w.c.) inlet pressure. A matching natural gas version, the HBW30TN, is also available. This product cannot be shipped to California.

Installation Notes

Installation must be performed by a certified gas technician in accordance with local codes and applicable standards. Before servicing or connecting gas supply, shut off the gas at the supply valve and verify zero pressure in the line. Maintain required clearances: 36 inches to the ceiling above, 3 inches to the floor below, and 8 inches to any side wall. All repairs must be performed by a qualified service contractor — do not attempt field modifications to the gas valve, ODS, or pilot assembly.
