The HAYWARD tbh1200aste0000 is a 2-inch union-style PVC ball valve from the TBH Series, engineered for industrial and commercial fluid control applications. It uses the patent-pending System2 Sealing Technology with a seat carrier design that reduces maintenance intervals and supports field rebuilds without removing the valve from the line. Reversible PTFE seats are standard. The valve is fully pressure rated at 250 psi non-shock at 70 degrees F, carries an integral ISO 5211 mounting pad for direct actuator mounting, and includes a standard lock-out plate that accepts up to four locks for LOTO compliance. Double O-ring stem seals and EPDM elastomers are fitted at this configuration.
The TBH Series is suited for chemical handling, water treatment, pool and aquatics systems, irrigation, and general industrial piping where a corrosion-resistant shutoff valve is required. The 2-inch union design allows removal from the line without cutting pipe, which is a practical advantage in retrofit and service scenarios. The integral footpad supports skid or panel mounting. The valve is available with IPS socket, threaded, or flanged end connections, making it adaptable across a wide range of piping configurations. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and pool system technicians are the primary installers.
Designed as a direct replacement for existing Hayward TB Series ball valves. The TBH Series is available in PVC and CPVC materials in sizes from 1/4 inch through 6 inches, with IPS, DIN/EN, JIS socket, threaded, and flanged end connection options for broad system compatibility.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Isolate and depressurize the system fully before removing any existing valve or breaking a union connection. The union-end design allows valve removal without cutting pipe, simplifying service. If actuator mounting is planned, verify ISO 5211 pattern alignment and confirm the actuator torque rating is appropriate for the system operating pressure before commissioning.
