The HAWS sp-65 is an AXION MSR eye and face wash head engineered with an inverted directional flow design that sweeps contaminants away from the nasal cavity during irrigation. Traditional eyewash heads flush from the outer edge of the eye toward the nose, which can drive contaminants into the nasal cavity through the lacrimal punctum. The sp-65 addresses this by reversing that flow path. It delivers laminar streams at zero vertical velocity, producing even, low-turbulence coverage across the eye and face. An integral flow control maintains output at 3.7 gallons per minute. A yellow plastic pop-off dust cover protects the head between activations. This unit is installed by licensed plumbers or safety equipment technicians in emergency eyewash stations.
The sp-65 is suited for industrial facilities, laboratories, manufacturing plants, and other workplaces where ANSI eyewash compliance is required. It mounts to standard emergency eyewash station plumbing and is designed as a replacement or upgrade head for non-freeze-protected eyewash models. This product is not compatible with freeze-protected eyewash configurations. It is appropriate for both new installations and retrofit applications where improved ocular decontamination performance is needed.
Designed as a replacement eye and face wash head for non-freeze-protected emergency eyewash stations. Not compatible with freeze-protected eyewash models. Verify freeze-protection status of the host station before installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified safety equipment technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ANSI Z358.1 requirements. Shut off the water supply to the eyewash station before removing or replacing the wash head. After installation, flush the line and verify flow rate and pattern meet the station manufacturer and ANSI specifications before returning the unit to service.
