The HARVEY TOOL RSB1260 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in tight-tolerance machining applications. With a 0.1260-inch reamer diameter and a diameter tolerance of +0.0000 to -0.0002 inches, this tool holds the close tolerances required for dowel holes, bearing bores, and similar precision fits. The 4-flute, straight-flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction make it well suited for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes. At 3 inches overall length with a 0.75-inch flute length, the RSB1260 falls within the miniature reamer series, covering diameters in the 0.1000 to 0.1499-inch range. Installation is handled by machinists and toolroom technicians working in metalworking and manufacturing environments.
This reamer is intended for precision finish reaming of small-diameter bores in metalworking and manufacturing settings. The miniature reamer series addresses applications where standard-size reamers cannot reach required diameters. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard collet chucks or drill chucks without additional adapters. The bright, uncoated carbide finish is appropriate for use on a range of materials including steel, aluminum, and brass. Chucking reamers are installed and operated by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the workpiece is securely fixtured and the spindle is brought to the appropriate speed and feed for the material being reamed before engaging the tool. Power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Avoid using a reamer to remove excessive stock — pre-drill or bore the hole to within a few thousandths of final diameter before reaming.
