The HARVEY TOOL RSB1170-C3 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precise hole finishing in tight-tolerance applications. Built with four straight flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, it delivers clean, accurate bores to a reamer diameter of 0.1170 inches with a tolerance of +0.0002 to 0.0000 inches. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life when reaming hardened or abrasive materials. With an overall length of 2.5 inches and a 3/4-inch flute length, this reamer is sized for miniature holemaking work where precision and control are critical. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this tool where standard reamers are too large to fit.
This reamer is suited for finishing small-diameter bores in metal components across production machining, tool-and-die, mold-making, and precision manufacturing environments. The straight-cylindrical shank with a diameter of 0.125 inches seats securely in standard collet chucks and drill chucks on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills. It belongs to the Harvey Tool Miniature Reamers series, which targets applications requiring close-tolerance hole sizing in confined geometries or small workpieces where conventional tooling cannot reach.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-use reamer for miniature holemaking applications requiring a 0.1170-inch finished bore diameter, compatible with standard collet and drill chuck toolholders accepting a 0.125-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with rotating cutting tools and machine tool operation. Secure the 0.125-inch shank firmly in a collet or drill chuck before operation and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or inspecting the tool. Do not use this reamer as a drill — always pre-drill or bore the hole to near-final diameter before reaming.
