The HARVEY TOOL RRH0625 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in miniature applications. Built with a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) reamer diameter, this tool delivers a tight tolerance of +0.0000 to -0.0002 inches, making it well suited for close-tolerance bores where dimensional accuracy is critical. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry promotes smooth cutting action and consistent chip evacuation. With a 2 inch overall length and a 7/16 inch flute length, the RRH0625 is compact enough for tight-access setups while maintaining rigidity. It is installed using a standard straight-cylindrical shank compatible with collet chucks and drill press fixtures.
This reamer is intended for precision holemaking in small-diameter bores across metalworking, tool and die, mold making, and instrument manufacturing applications. The miniature series designation makes it a practical choice for machinists working with fine-pitch components, small housings, or other workpieces that require a finished bore in the 0.0500 to 0.0999 inch diameter range. The bright, uncoated finish allows for use across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials where coating buildup could affect dimensional control.
Designed as an OEM-style precision reamer for use with standard collet chucks, drill presses, and milling machine spindles accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists using collet chucks or drill press fixtures; ensure the shank is fully seated and the chuck is properly torqued before use. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting tooling. Run at manufacturer-recommended speeds for solid carbide reamers in the applicable work material, and use appropriate cutting fluid to extend tool life and maintain bore finish. Do not use this reamer to remove excessive material; a properly sized pilot hole should be drilled beforehand, leaving only a small allowance for the reaming operation.
