The HARVEY TOOL ARY1285-C6 is a jobber-length solid carbide drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It features a 140-degree point angle, an ALTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, and a right-hand spiral flute configuration. The bit measures 0.1286 inches in diameter with an overall length of 2.955 inches and a flute length of 1.2608 inches. Part of the Miniature High Performance Drills series, this drill is built for precision work in tight tolerances, carrying a diameter tolerance of h6. It is suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on close-tolerance applications.
This drill bit targets applications in cast iron, steel, stainless steel, and other hard materials where tool life and dimensional accuracy are critical. Its 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deeper hole entry relative to diameter without sacrificing rigidity. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 0.2364-inch shank diameter seats securely in standard collet chucks and drill chucks. No coolant-through capability is present, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is recommended when drilling harder alloys or stainless grades.
Designed for use in standard collet chucks or drill chucks accepting a 0.2364-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible with CNC machining centers and drill presses used to machine cast iron, steel, stainless steel, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, H).
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Verify that the spindle and chuck are in good condition and that runout is within acceptable limits before use, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on miniature carbide drills. Power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Because this bit has no coolant-through capability, apply external cutting fluid or coolant directed at the cutting zone to prevent heat buildup when drilling stainless steel or hardened materials.
