The HARVEY TOOL 995824 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding machining environments. With a 3/8 inch diameter, a 1-1/8 inch length of cut, and 4 right-hand flutes at a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers clean, accurate cuts in hard and abrasive materials. The CVD diamond coating significantly extends tool life and reduces friction when cutting nonferrous metals, composites, graphite, and ceramics. Centercutting capability allows for plunge entry as well as conventional milling passes. This end mill is a single-end tool with a 3/8 inch shank diameter and 2-1/2 inch overall length.
This end mill is suited for job shops, production floors, and toolrooms working with abrasive or nonferrous workpiece materials. The CVD diamond coating makes it particularly effective when machining aluminum-silicon alloys, carbon fiber reinforced polymers, graphite electrodes, and other materials that rapidly wear uncoated carbide. It is sized for use in standard toolholders accepting 3/8 inch shank tooling and fits vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills equipped with appropriate collet or end mill holder systems.

This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with carbide end mill handling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or unloading tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Avoid side-loading the cutting edge during tool changes, as solid carbide is brittle and prone to chipping if struck or dropped.
