The HARVEY TOOL 995762 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in abrasive and composite materials. With a 1/16-inch cutting diameter and a 0.186-inch length of cut, this tool delivers precise square-shoulder and slot milling in tight geometries. The CVD diamond coating provides exceptional hardness and wear resistance, making it well suited for graphite, carbon fiber, ceramics, and other abrasive non-ferrous workpieces. Four right-hand flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote chip evacuation and surface finish quality. Installed by machinists and toolroom professionals, this end mill fits standard 1/8-inch collets and tool holders.
This end mill is built for applications involving abrasive composite materials, non-ferrous alloys, and engineered plastics where standard coatings fail prematurely. The 1/16-inch diameter suits fine-detail work, narrow slots, and contour milling in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups. The center-cutting geometry allows direct plunge entry, adding flexibility to programming. The 1-1/2-inch overall length keeps the tool compact and rigid, minimizing deflection in small-diameter applications. This tool is a single-end configuration, intended for precision production and prototype machining environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and high-speed milling spindles accepting 1/8-inch shank end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Use a calibrated torque wrench on collet nuts and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. CVD diamond-coated tools should not be used on ferrous materials, as diamond reacts with iron at elevated temperatures and will degrade the coating rapidly.
