The HARVEY TOOL 995232-C3 is a solid carbide dovetail cutter designed for machining dovetail slots and undercut profiles in a wide range of workpiece materials. Built to a 60-degree included angle, it cuts a 1/2-inch diameter with a 7/32-inch (0.218-inch) cutting width. The cutter features a Titanium Aluminum Nitride (TiAlN) coating, which improves heat resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. With 3 teeth and a 1/2-inch shank diameter, it is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Overall length is 3 inches.
This dovetail cutter is intended for production and job-shop environments where accurate dovetail geometry is required. Typical applications include T-slot and dovetail slide features in metalworking, fixturing, and tooling plates. The 60-degree angle is a standard geometry for dovetail slides and mechanical joints in ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as engineering plastics.
