The HARVEY TOOL 994599-C3 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 0.1000-inch cutting diameter, a 0.0100-inch corner radius, and a 4-flute spiral geometry, this tool delivers clean material removal in both roughing and finishing passes. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank, this stub-length end mill is suited for machinists and toolroom operators working with small-feature geometries on precision components.
This end mill is built for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites. Its short flute length of 0.1500 inches and stub overall length make it well suited for high-rigidity setups where deflection and runout must be minimized. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without pre-drilling. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. It is intended for use with standard toolholders compatible with a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank. Compatible with CNC milling machines configured for right-hand cutting. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials as noted in the manufacturer specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom professional. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before committing to the first cut, as miniature-diameter end mills are sensitive to even small amounts of radial runout.
