The HARVEY TOOL 994593-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. The cutter measures 0.0930 inches in diameter with a 0.0100-inch corner radius and a 0.1400-inch length of cut. Four right-hand spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle combine to promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlTiN PVD coating extends tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. This is a single-end, centercutting design, meaning it can plunge as well as profile. Installed in a toolholder by a machinist or CNC operator, it suits both roughing and finishing passes at miniature scale.
This end mill fits into the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series, targeting applications where small-diameter, tight-tolerance cutting is required. The stub-length geometry provides added rigidity, reducing deflection during aggressive passes in steel and stainless steel. Typical use cases include slot milling, pocket milling, and profiling of small features in mold and die work, medical components, and aerospace parts. The 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard collet toolholders. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC milling setups. Compatible workpiece materials include composites and cast iron in addition to ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Secure the end mill to the manufacturer-specified clamping torque for the toolholder in use. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as runout has an outsized effect on tool life and surface finish at small diameters.
