The HARVEY TOOL 993862-C3 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. Built to a 0.062-inch diameter with a 0.005-inch corner radius and four helical flutes, this stub-length tool delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single pass. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, making it suitable for dry and semi-dry cutting in demanding materials. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 3/32-inch length of cut, this end mill is engineered for CNC machinists and tool-and-die shops working at small-feature scale.
This end mill is intended for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. The stub length format suits shallow pocketing, slot milling, and profile work where tool deflection must be minimized. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC toolholder setups. The straight-cylindrical 1/8-inch shank fits standard collet chucks and shrink-fit holders common in precision machining centers. Single-end configuration means the tool is replaced rather than re-indexed when worn.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank, including collet chucks and shrink-fit systems. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite workpiece materials per the HARVEY TOOL Miniature End Mills Corner Radius Stub and Standard series.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked out before loading the end mill into the holder. Verify collet size matches the 1/8-inch shank before tightening to avoid runout. At this diameter, even minor runout will accelerate tool wear and compromise corner radius tolerance - use a precision collet or shrink-fit holder where possible.
