The HARVEY TOOL 992531-C3 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built from solid carbide, this tool features a 1/32 inch (0.031 inch) cutting diameter and a 3/32 inch (0.093 inch) length of cut, making it well suited for fine detail work, slotting, and profiling in tight geometries. The 4-flute configuration promotes efficient chip evacuation while supporting a smooth surface finish. An AlTiN coating extends tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, aerospace, medical device, and mold-and-die environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is intended for small-diameter milling operations where precision and tool rigidity are critical. The extended reach design, with a 3/8 inch reach length and a 1/8 inch shank diameter, allows access to features that standard-reach tooling cannot reach cleanly. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting efficiency with lateral force management. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC machining center setups. This tool is appropriate for use in aluminum, hardened steels, stainless steel, titanium, and other difficult-to-machine alloys where AlTiN coating performance is advantageous.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician using a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 1/8 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle and tool holding system are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout at this diameter will accelerate tool wear and reduce dimensional accuracy. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and tooling manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material.
