The HARVEY TOOL 984145-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding material removal in high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, steel, cast iron, and hard materials. The 2 mm cutting diameter features a 0.20 mm corner radius and a 3.00 mm length of cut, producing a controlled edge blend that reduces chipping and extends tool life in tough workpiece materials. A variable helix geometry promotes chip evacuation and dampens vibration during both roughing and finishing passes. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures. This is a single-end, centercutting tool installed in high-precision toolholders by machinists and CNC operators working in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for short-reach applications where a 2 mm diameter and 3.00 mm length of cut are appropriate for slot milling, profiling, and contouring in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. The 4.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly into collet chucks and shrink-fit or press-fit high-precision toolholders. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction follow conventional milling orientation. The short length type makes this tool well-suited for rigid setups where deflection control is critical when machining difficult materials.

Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the specified gauge length before tightening to avoid runout. Verify toolholder cleanliness and shank condition prior to installation, as contamination or surface damage will affect runout and tool life.
