The HARVEY TOOL 982150 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.05-inch cutting diameter and a 0.075-inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine detail work and tight-tolerance applications. The 3-flute geometry combined with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright, uncoated finish is suitable for use across a range of workpiece materials. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.5-inch extended reach, this end mill provides access to features that shorter tools cannot reach. It is installed and operated by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on machining centers and milling machines.
This end mill is suited for small-diameter, precision milling operations in both production and prototype environments. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard 1/8-inch collets and tool holders commonly found on CNC machining centers. The extended reach design makes it practical for slotting, profiling, and pocketing in deep or recessed features where clearance is limited. The center-cutting capability allows for plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard configurations compatible with conventional CNC milling setups.
Designed for use with standard 1/8-inch collets and tool holders on CNC milling machines and machining centers. Compatible with setups requiring a right-hand cut, single-end square profile end mill with a 0.125-inch shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet to the recommended insertion depth to prevent runout and tool pull-out during operation. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the tool diameter and workpiece material before beginning the cut.
