The HARVEY TOOL 982150-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling in demanding applications. With a 0.0500-inch cutting diameter and a 3-flute configuration, it delivers clean cuts and efficient chip evacuation in tight geometries. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life in ferrous and hard materials. A 30-degree helix angle reduces cutting forces and promotes smooth material removal. This end mill is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry. It is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in tool-and-die, mold making, and precision part manufacturing.
This end mill is suited for small-feature milling, slotting, and profiling in steel, stainless steel, titanium, and other hard alloys where a miniature diameter tool is required. The extended reach design, with a 0.500-inch reach length, accommodates applications where the cutter must access recessed areas or deep pockets without interference from the shank. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets commonly used on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles.

Installation and tool changes should be performed with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, de-energized state. Use a properly sized collet and torque the collet nut to the spindle manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting, especially critical at this diameter. Miniature end mills are sensitive to side load; consult your CAM programmer or application engineer for appropriate feed and speed parameters before running.
