The HARVEY TOOL 982125-C3 is a miniature square end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature applications. Built from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it delivers heat resistance and wear life in ferrous and hardened materials. The cutter measures 0.025 inches in diameter with a 0.037-inch length of cut and runs on a 0.125-inch shank. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation. With three flutes and a centercutting configuration, this end mill handles both plunge and peripheral cuts. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in CNC machining centers or high-speed spindles are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for small-feature milling in mold making, medical device components, aerospace parts, and precision die work. The extended reach design, with a 0.25-inch reach length, allows access to recessed features without sacrificing rigidity. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation matches standard CNC spindle configurations. It is appropriate for use on aluminum, steel, stainless, titanium, and hardened alloys where fine detail and dimensional accuracy are required.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature end mill for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups accepting a 0.125-inch straight shank toolholder or collet.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC tooling setup and micro-diameter end mill handling. Secure the shank in a precision collet or shrink-fit holder rated for the 0.125-inch shank diameter; avoid set-screw holders with micro tools to prevent runout and tool breakage. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits before cutting, as excess runout is destructive at this diameter. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool length offsets and cutting parameters.
