The HARVEY TOOL 980225-C3 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. It carries a 1/8 inch mill diameter with a 0.025 inch corner radius and a 3/16 inch length of cut, making it well suited for stub-reach applications where rigidity matters. The AlTiN PVD coating extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments. With 4 helical flutes in a right-hand cutting direction, this single-end mill supports both roughing and finishing passes. It is installed in a standard straight-cylindrical toolholder and is center-cutting capable.
This end mill fits into the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills Corner Radius Stub and Standard series. It is sized for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight corner radii and small-diameter work are required. Typical applications include mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and precision part production in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, composites, and non-ferrous materials. The 1/8 inch shank diameter allows direct chucking in collet-style toolholders common to both horizontal and vertical machining setups.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical collet toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites as noted in the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills Corner Radius Stub and Standard series.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before installing or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before torquing the toolholder. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation, as excessive runout on small-diameter end mills accelerates wear and can cause tool breakage.
