The HARVEY TOOL 970550-C6 is a solid carbide ball end mill engineered for high-temperature alloy machining. It features a 0.0500-inch mill diameter, a 0.1500-inch length of cut, and three flutes with a variable helix angle of 34 degrees. The AlTiN Nano PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures. At 1.5000 inches overall length with a 0.1250-inch straight-cylindrical shank, this single-end tool is designed for precision milling in demanding aerospace, medical, and energy applications. Installation and operation are performed by machinists and CNC tooling professionals.
This end mill is designed for primary use in high-temperature alloys, including nickel, titanium, and cobalt-based materials, identified under workpiece material code S. It also performs in secondary materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hardened materials (material codes P, M, K, and H). The variable helix geometry reduces harmonic vibration and improves chip evacuation in difficult-to-machine alloys. Typical applications include finish and roughing passes in tight-tolerance features, slots, and contoured surfaces in CNC milling environments.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state.
