The HARVEY TOOL 968755-C8 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 1.4 mm (0.0550 inch) mill diameter and a 2.1 mm (0.083 inch) length of cut, this tool is built for small-feature work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The three-flute variable helix geometry reduces harmonic chatter during cutting, improving surface finish and tool life. A Titanium Diboride (TiB2) coating provides high hardness and lubricity, making it well suited for non-ferrous metals, composites, and abrasive materials. The 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) shank provides a standard, secure interface with collet-style tool holders.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups where micro-diameter tooling is required. It is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute tool with an overall length of 1.5 inches. The non-centercutting design means it is intended for peripheral milling, slotting, and profiling operations rather than plunge cutting. Machinists, tool and die makers, and precision CNC operators working on small-part production, mold work, or intricate 3D contouring are the primary users of this tool.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle systems accepting a 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) shank diameter. The non-centercutting geometry is suited for peripheral milling, slotting, and profiling operations in non-ferrous metals, composites, and other abrasive workpiece materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully within the collet to the recommended gauge length before tightening to avoid runout. Inspect the collet and holder for contamination or wear prior to mounting micro-diameter tooling, as even minor runout at this diameter will accelerate tool breakage. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds appropriate to this diameter and coating.
