The HARVEY TOOL 962762 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding applications. With a 0.0625 inch (1/16 inch) cutting diameter and a CVD diamond coating, this tool is built for high-wear environments where standard carbide or coated steel tools fall short. The 4-flute, right-hand cut geometry paired with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. It features a 0.125 inch shank diameter and a 1.5 inch overall length. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into material. Machinists and tooling technicians working with abrasive composites, graphite, or nonferrous materials will find this end mill well-suited to close-tolerance work.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter, high-precision cutting is required. The 0.093 inch length of cut makes it appropriate for shallow finishing passes and detailed profile work in tight spaces. The CVD diamond coating significantly extends tool life when cutting abrasive nonmetallic materials such as carbon fiber reinforced polymers, fiberglass, and graphite. It is a single-end tool with right-hand flute direction, suitable for standard right-hand spindle machines.
Designed as an OEM-style small-diameter end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines with standard right-hand spindle rotation accepting a 0.125 inch shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or tool holder and torque the retention mechanism to the machine manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to collet concentricity and clamping force.
