The HARVEY TOOL 958560-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in tight-tolerance and small-feature applications. It carries a 0.0625-inch cutting diameter, a 0.18-inch length of cut, and a 1/8-inch shank diameter, with a 1.5-inch overall length. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life when machining hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other demanding materials. Three flutes with a 37-degree variable helix angle improve chip evacuation and reduce chatter at elevated feed rates. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This end mill is suited for precision milling of small slots, pockets, and contours on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The 1/8-inch shank fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders common in prototype, die-and-mold, and production environments. It performs in both roughing and finishing passes at the micro scale, making it a practical choice for machinists working with intricate part geometries in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Secure the shank fully in the collet or holder to the recommended gauge length before tightening to prevent runout and tool breakage. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate calculations are appropriate for 0.0625-inch carbide tooling before cutting. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification prior to use and replace the tool at first signs of chipping or wear to avoid part damage.
