The HARVEY TOOL 954845 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built as a single-end, centercutting tool, it features a 5/32-inch (0.1560 inch) mill diameter, a 0.0450-inch corner radius, and a 4-flute right-hand spiral configuration. The stub-length geometry keeps the tool rigid during aggressive cuts, while the bright uncoated finish makes it suitable for a broad range of workpiece materials without the heat concerns of coated tools. This end mill is sized for miniature and detail work where tight tolerances and corner geometry accuracy are critical.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, wood, and composite materials. The short flute length and stub-standard series classification make it well suited for high-precision slotting, profiling, and contouring in tight-clearance setups. It fits standard straight-bore toolholders with a 3/16-inch shank. Machinists working on mold and die components, aerospace detail parts, or precision prototypes will find the corner radius geometry useful for reducing stress concentrations at inside radii.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter. Part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the shank is fully seated and that runout is within acceptable limits before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide tools. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Avoid side-loading or interrupted cuts beyond the tool's rated depth of cut to prevent breakage at this diameter.
