The HARVEY TOOL 953593-C3 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill built for long-reach, stub-flute applications in demanding machining environments. With a 0.093-inch cutting diameter and a 0.5 mm (0.020 inch) corner radius, this single-end tool is designed to blend tight-tolerance corner geometry with extended-reach capability. The AlTiN PVD coating improves heat resistance and tool life when cutting ferrous materials at elevated speeds. Three right-hand helical flutes with a 30-degree helix angle and centercutting geometry support both roughing and finishing passes. A straight-cylindrical 0.125-inch shank seats directly into standard toolholders used on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for precision work on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials in both production and prototype environments. Its long-reach, stub-flute configuration makes it particularly useful in deep-pocket milling, cavity work, and contoured surfaces where a standard-reach tool cannot safely engage. The 0.5-inch reach length and 2.5-inch overall length allow access to features that are difficult to reach without sacrificing rigidity relative to the cutting diameter. Machinists running tight-tolerance mold, die, and aerospace components will find the corner radius geometry useful for blending floor-to-wall transitions with consistent radius control.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. At miniature diameters, runout at the holder has a proportionally large effect on tool life and surface finish — verify total indicator runout before cutting. Follow the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material and do not exceed the rated cutting parameters for this diameter and reach combination.
