The HARVEY TOOL 951378-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 5/64 inch (0.0780 inch) cutting diameter and a 51/64 inch (0.800 inch) length of cut, this single-end tool delivers consistent performance in tight-tolerance work. The 3-flute geometry balances chip evacuation with rigidity, and the AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and surface hardness for extended tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces vibration during operation. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, or production environments will find this end mill well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling cuts.
This end mill is appropriate for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where a 1/8 inch shank diameter is compatible with the collet or tool holder in use. Its compact cutting diameter makes it a practical choice for fine-feature work, narrow slots, and detailed contouring operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials where AlTiN coating performance is maximized. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece when required by the operation.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills using 1/8 inch collets or end mill holders requiring a square-profile solid carbide end mill.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or lock-out state before inserting or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet to the recommended grip depth and torque the collet nut per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to maximize tool life and dimensional accuracy.
