The HARVEY TOOL 951362 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of materials. With a 1/16 inch cutting diameter, 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 3-flute spiral geometry at a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish in tight-tolerance applications. The bright/uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous and aluminum work while remaining capable across steel and stainless steel. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this miniature end mill when working in confined features, deep slots, or thin-wall sections where tool clearance is limited.
This end mill is part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Square - Long Flute series, designed for applications requiring extended reach into shallow pockets or long-flute engagement. It is a single-end, right-hand cut and right-hand flute tool. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and CFRP materials. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and does not require through-coolant capability given its miniature scale.
Suited for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and CFRP materials. Part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Square - Long Flute series for fractional inch tooling applications.
Installation of this end mill should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolroom practices. Secure the 1/8 inch shank in a collet or end mill holder rated for the required runout tolerance — miniature carbide tools are highly sensitive to runout and improper clamping. Power down the spindle completely and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Avoid side-loading or interrupted cuts beyond the tool's rated depth of cut, as small-diameter carbide end mills are brittle and prone to fracture under excessive lateral force.
