The HARVEY TOOL 942260-C8 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.06-inch cutting diameter and a 3-flute geometry running a 42-degree variable helix, this end mill delivers a smooth cut and reduced chatter at small-diameter passes. The titanium diboride (TiB2) coating provides hardness and low friction at the cutting edge, extending tool life in demanding applications. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.18-inch length of cut, this is a compact, single-end tool built for tight-tolerance work. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and run this tool in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for small-feature milling, slot cutting, and profiling operations where tight tolerances and a fine surface finish are required. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet systems and small-spindle tool holders commonly used on vertical machining centers and CNC routers. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make this a conventional-geometry tool compatible with standard spindle rotation. It is appropriate for light-duty steel, aluminum, brass, plastics, and composite materials where a small-diameter carbide tool is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use with standard 0.125-inch collet or tool holder systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting right-hand tooling.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in a clean, properly sized ER collet or end mill holder and torque the collet nut to the tool holder specification before running. At 0.06-inch diameter, carbide tools are brittle and will fracture under side load or runout — verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits before machining. Never exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material.
