The HARVEY TOOL 941115 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/64 inch (0.0150 inch) corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and improves surface finish on profiled features. The 4-flute, right-hand helical geometry with a 30-degree helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation across both roughing and finishing passes. The bright, uncoated solid carbide construction makes it well-suited for applications where coating compatibility or re-sharpening are considerations.
This end mill belongs to Harvey Tool's Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series. It is a single-end, straight-shank tool with a 1/4 inch shank diameter and a 2-1/2 inch overall length, sized for use in standard toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The short length-of-cut classification provides added rigidity during tight-tolerance operations. Primary material applications include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, composites, and wood.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Fits CNC machining centers and manual milling machines configured for that shank size. Suitable for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, composites, and wood per manufacturer material application data.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide tooling. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the 3/8 inch length of cut, and avoid side loads that could deflect or fracture the carbide shank.
