The HARVEY TOOL 940108 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.125 inch cutting diameter and a 0.116 inch length of cut, this single-end tool is built for contour milling, profiling, and finishing passes where tight tolerances and surface quality matter. The four-flute geometry provides a good balance of chip evacuation and rigidity at small diameters. The bright uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous materials and applications where coating buildup or heat transfer is a concern. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This ball end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for finishing contoured surfaces, blending radii, and detail work in dies, molds, and precision components. The 0.125 inch shank diameter allows it to seat directly in standard 1/8 inch collets. A neck diameter of 0.053 inches and neck length of 0.375 inches provide clearance for working in pocketed or stepped features without interference from the shank. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC setups.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8 inch shank collet. Fits standard ER, DA, and similar collet systems configured for 0.125 inch shank tooling.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or removing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet and torque the collet nut according to the collet system manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as runout is especially critical at small diameters where tool deflection and breakage risk are elevated.
