The HARVEY TOOL 938240-C3 is a solid carbide back chamfer cutter designed for deburring and chamfering on the back side of holes, slots, and intersecting bores. With a 0.21-inch cutter head diameter and a 90-degree included angle, this tool produces a 0.037-inch chamfer width in a single pass. The 5-flute geometry improves chip evacuation and surface finish quality. An AlTiN coating adds heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and hard alloy materials. A licensed machinist or CNC operator typically installs and runs this tool on vertical machining centers or manual mills.
This back chamfer cutter is suited for precision machining operations where access to the back face of a feature is required without repositioning the workpiece. The 0.13-inch neck diameter allows reach into tight clearance areas, while the 0.25-inch shank provides a standard collet-compatible interface. Typical applications include cross-hole deburring, countersink blending, and edge prep on aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking components.
Designed as an OEM-specification back chamfer cutter compatible with standard 0.25-inch collet toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully in a matched collet or toolholder and confirm runout before cutting. Power down or e-stop the spindle fully before any tool change. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material and coating type.
