The HARVEY TOOL 937930-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. With a 3/16 inch diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and a 4-flute helical geometry, it delivers both roughing and finishing cuts in a single tool. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. At 2 inches overall length with a 1.5 inch length of cut, this is a stub-length profile suited for rigidity in tight setups.
This end mill is built for CNC machining centers and manual mills where corner radius geometry is required to reduce stress concentrations at part features. The short stub length keeps deflection low when working in steel and stainless steel at higher feed rates. The 30-degree helix, right-hand cut, and center-cutting design support both plunge and lateral entry. It is used primarily by machinists in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments working with ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces including composites.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter. Compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills. Suitable for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metal, and composite materials.
Installation requires a clean, properly sized collet or toolholder bore matched to the 3/16 inch straight cylindrical shank. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured with appropriate torque per the toolholder manufacturer specification before engaging the workpiece. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after installation to protect edge integrity, particularly given the tight mill diameter tolerance of 0.0000 to minus 0.0020 inches. Do not exceed the rated depth of cut for the stub-length geometry when machining hardened or abrasive workpiece materials.
