The HARVEY TOOL 937112 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and engineering-plastic workpieces. At 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) cutting diameter with a 9/32 inch length of cut and a 30-degree helix angle, this single-end tool delivers clean, square shoulders and flat floors across a range of profiling and slotting applications. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. With a 1.156-inch reach length and 3-inch overall length, it handles extended-reach scenarios where standard short-flute tools cannot reach the workpiece. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill suits light-to-medium material removal in tight cavities, deep pockets, and areas requiring extended reach beyond a standard stub or regular-length end mill. The right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional and climb milling setups on most CNC and manual milling equipment. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well-suited for aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous materials where coatings can cause built-up edge issues. It ships individually and is appropriate for job shops, toolrooms, and production environments requiring a compact, high-precision carbide end mill.
Designed as a standard shank end mill with a 3/16 inch shank diameter, this tool fits any milling machine collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit toolholder sized for a 3/16 inch straight shank.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers following standard milling practices. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe-state mode before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in a properly sized collet or toolholder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. At 3/16 inch diameter, this is a small, deflection-sensitive tool - verify runout at the cutting edge before beginning a production run and use conservative feed and speed parameters for the specific workpiece material.
