The HARVEY TOOL 937078-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking and machining applications. With a 5/64 inch (0.078 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.117 inch length of cut, this tool delivers clean, square-shoulder cuts in tight workspaces. The three-flute geometry balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. An AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous metals and hardened steels. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, profiling, and pocketing operations in ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys. The 30-degree right-hand helix promotes smooth cutting action and efficient chip flow. Extended reach geometry, with a 0.475 inch reach length and 2.5 inch overall length on a 1/8 inch shank, allows access to features that standard-reach tooling cannot reach. It is a single-end, centercutting tool capable of plunge entry. Typical applications include precision die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and general CNC milling of hard materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with 1/8 inch collet or chuck systems. Suitable for ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys consistent with AlTiN-coated solid carbide tooling recommendations.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling personnel familiar with end mill runout, collet torque, and speeds-and-feeds selection for small-diameter carbide tooling. Ensure the spindle and collet are clean and within runout tolerance before seating the shank. Small-diameter carbide end mills are brittle — avoid side-loading beyond recommended chip load parameters and do not use in toolholders that cannot maintain concentricity. Verify machine RPM and feed rate settings against manufacturer tooling data before engaging the cut.
