The HARVEY TOOL 937062-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding applications. With a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) cutting diameter and three flutes, this tool delivers clean, accurate cuts in tight geometries where larger tooling cannot reach. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and surface hardness, making it well-suited for high-speed dry or semi-dry machining. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while reducing cutting forces. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow standard CNC milling conventions. The extended reach configuration and 3/8 inch reach length allow access to deep features without sacrificing rigidity.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and high-speed milling environments where small-diameter tooling is required. It is appropriate for machining ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar materials where AlTiN coating performance is beneficial. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, giving machinists flexibility in toolpath strategies. Typical applications include mold and die work, aerospace component finishing, and precision part production where fine detail and tight tolerances are required.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC milling setups requiring a 1/8 inch shank diameter and 1/16 inch cutting diameter solid carbide square end mill with AlTiN finish.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for 1/8 inch shank diameter and verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating cuts. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and shop safety protocols for small-diameter carbide tooling, which is brittle and susceptible to breakage under side loading or excessive feed rates.
