The HARVEY TOOL 937047-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 3/64 inch (0.047 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.07 inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine detail work and tight-tolerance applications. Three flutes at a 30-degree helix angle provide a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The AlTiN coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. Machinists and CNC operators working in tool rooms, production shops, and precision job shops are the primary installers and users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and plunging operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials where small-diameter precision cutting is required. The extended reach configuration, with a 9/32 inch reach length, allows access to features in deeper pockets or stepped geometries that standard-reach tools cannot reach. The 1/8 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet chucks and tool holders commonly used on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional and climb milling setups.
Designed for use with standard 1/8 inch collet chucks and tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Right-hand cut, right-hand helix configuration fits conventional milling setups without modification.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians using a standard collet or end mill holder sized for a 1/8 inch shank. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the tool. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to spindle runout and tool deflection. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material.
