The HARVEY TOOL 937020-C3 is a miniature square end mill designed for high-precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. Built from solid carbide with an AlTiN coating, this single-end tool measures 0.5 mm (0.0200 inches) in cutting diameter with a 1/32-inch length of cut and an overall length of 2.5 inches. The 30-degree helix angle and 3-flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action in ferrous and hardened materials. The extended reach configuration and 0.125-inch shank diameter make it well suited for deep-pocket and restricted-access machining operations performed by experienced machinists and toolroom professionals.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle applications where micro-diameter tooling is required. Typical applications include mold and die work, medical component machining, aerospace part finishing, and any operation demanding sub-millimeter cutting diameter with consistent runout control. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC setups. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8-inch straight shank. Suitable for right-hand cutting operations in ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar hard materials where AlTiN coating performance is advantageous.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Secure the 0.125-inch shank in a precision collet or tool holder rated for the intended spindle speed to minimize runout. Inspect the collet and holder for contamination or wear before seating the tool, as micro-diameter end mills are sensitive to runout-induced breakage. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for feed rate, spindle speed, and depth of cut when programming operations with sub-millimeter tooling.
