The HARVEY TOOL 936508-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.005 inch corner radius, and a variable helix geometry that reduces harmonics and chatter during cuts. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating extends tool life in high-temperature alloy applications by improving heat resistance and surface hardness. With 4 helical flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, it supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. It is installed in high-precision toolholders and run by CNC machinists working in job shops, aerospace facilities, and precision manufacturing environments.
This end mill is engineered for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. The variable helix design makes it particularly well suited for high-temp alloys where tool life and surface finish are critical. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool with a straight cylindrical shank, making it compatible with standard collet and shrink-fit toolholding systems. The 3/8 inch length of cut and 1-1/2 inch overall length suit it to shallow-to-moderate depth milling operations where rigidity and runout control are priorities. It ships individually and is ordered in single-unit quantities.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. Part of the Harvey Tool Variable Helix End Mills for High Temp Alloys - Corner Radius series.
This tool is installed by CNC machinists and tooling technicians. Ensure the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to maintain runout tolerances. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters against the manufacturer cutting data for the specific workpiece material before running. Do not exceed the stated length of cut to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
