The HARVEY TOOL 936493-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-temperature alloy machining, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. It features a 0.0930-inch mill diameter with a 0.0050-inch corner radius and a 0.2790-inch length of cut, making it well suited for tight-tolerance profiling and slotting operations where edge integrity is critical. The three-flute, variable-helix geometry reduces chatter and improves chip evacuation in difficult-to-machine materials. An AlTiN (PVD) coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. This end mill is single-end, centercutting, and designed for right-hand cutting with a right-hand flute direction.
This tool is intended for use in CNC milling applications on ferrous and hard materials, including P, M, K, and H material group classifications per ISO workpiece coding. Its compact 0.0930-inch diameter and 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank make it appropriate for detailed cavity work, finish passes on hardened components, and roughing-and-finishing operations in aerospace, die-mold, and general precision machining environments. It is rated for use with high-precision toolholders to maintain runout tolerances consistent with its close diameter and corner radius tolerances.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys (ISO material groups P, M, K, and H). Part of the Harvey Tool Variable Helix End Mills for High Temp Alloys - Corner Radius series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Use a high-precision collet or hydraulic toolholder to maintain runout within the specified diameter tolerance of plus or minus 0.0005 inches. Avoid excessive overhang beyond the stated 0.2790-inch length of cut to prevent deflection and premature tool failure. Confirm toolholder clamping torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before cutting.
