The HARVEY TOOL 933508-C3 is a solid carbide corner rounding end mill designed to machine smooth, consistent radius profiles on workpiece edges. It carries a 1/8 inch corner radius and a 5/16 inch mill diameter, with a matching 5/16 inch shank for straightforward setup in standard toolholders. The three-flute, single-end geometry balances chip evacuation and surface finish, making it well suited to both roughing passes on softer alloys and finishing cuts on harder materials. The AlTiN coating provides elevated heat resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting environments common in production machining.
This end mill is used wherever a controlled edge radius is required on machined components — typical applications include aerospace brackets, medical device profiles, mold and die work, and general precision parts where a sharp corner must be replaced with a defined radius. The flared series geometry allows the tool to reach the full radius in a single pass along a vertical wall. It is best suited for CNC machining centers running steel, stainless, titanium, and high-temperature alloys, though it also performs reliably on aluminum and non-ferrous materials when appropriate feeds and speeds are applied.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines accepting a 5/16 inch straight shank. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or direct procurement tool for shops running HARVEY TOOL corner rounding end mill programs.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom personnel. Secure the shank fully in a collet or end mill holder to the recommended engagement depth before beginning any cut. Verify spindle runout with a dial indicator prior to first use, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when changing tooling with the spindle at a complete stop and machine power isolated.
