The HARVEY TOOL 931793-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. It features a 0.093-inch mill diameter with a 0.5 mm (0.020 inch) corner radius and three flutes arranged in a variable helix geometry. The AlTiN PVD coating delivers elevated thermal resistance, making this tool well suited for high-temperature alloy applications. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank, it is a compact, single-end tool designed for precision slotting, profiling, and finishing passes where corner integrity is critical. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in aerospace, medical, and general precision machining environments are the primary installers and operators.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines where tight corner radii and demanding workpiece materials require a purpose-built cutting geometry. The variable helix design reduces harmonic chatter during cuts in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. It is center-cutting, right-hand flute direction, right-hand cutting, and classified as short length of cut, making it appropriate for close-tolerance work in confined pockets or near-shoulder profiling. It is compatible with high-precision toolholders and is intended for both roughing and finishing material removal operations.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders in CNC milling applications involving steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. Part of the Harvey Tool Variable Helix End Mills for High Temp Alloys - Corner Radius series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a high-precision collet or toolholder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth before operation. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius for chips or wear before each use, particularly when machining abrasive or hard materials. Follow your machine tool builder guidelines and shop safety protocols when handling carbide end mills.
