The HARVEY TOOL 930932 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 1/2 inch mill diameter, 3/4 inch length of cut, and 3 flutes, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes in a single-end configuration. The 42-degree variable helix geometry reduces harmonic vibration and chatter, improving stability during aggressive cuts. At 4 inches overall length with a 2.5-inch reach, this tool suits deep-pocket and extended-reach applications. It ships bright and uncoated, making it suitable for use with or without coolant in a wide range of machining environments. Installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production settings.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on machining centers and CNC mills where chatter control and finish quality are priorities. The variable helix design makes it particularly effective in side milling, slotting, and profiling cuts on aluminum, steel, stainless, and similar materials. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry, adding versatility for pocket milling without a pre-drilled entry point. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation follow standard CNC spindle conventions.
Designed as a standard 1/2 inch shank solid carbide square end mill compatible with ER and set-screw style toolholders sized for 1/2 inch shank diameters on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or changing tooling. Seat the 1/2 inch shank fully into the toolholder and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and tooling manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material.
