The HARVEY TOOL 923108-C8 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.125 inch cutter diameter and a 0.625 inch length of cut, this end mill handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations where tight tolerances are required. The three-flute geometry balances chip evacuation with tool rigidity, making it well-suited for harder workpiece materials. A titanium diboride (TiB2) coating reduces friction and extends tool life. The variable helix design helps minimize chatter and improves surface finish across a range of cutting conditions. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.125 inch shank diameter, this tool fits standard collet chucks and ER-style toolholders.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC milling centers, vertical machining centers, and manual knee mills where a 1/8 inch cutter is required. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard configurations compatible with conventional spindle rotation. Typical applications include finishing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous materials, die and mold work, and precision slot milling where a small-diameter tool is specified. The titanium diboride coating makes it particularly effective in abrasive or high-hardness materials where uncoated carbide tools wear prematurely.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for CNC and manual milling applications requiring a 1/8 inch diameter, three-flute tool with a 0.125 inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or toolholder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts, particularly at small diameters where runout has a proportionally large effect on tool life and part quality.
