The HARVEY TOOL 922908 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) mill diameter and a 0.106-inch length of cut, this tool is built for finishing passes, profiling, and contour work where tight tolerances and fine surface finish matter. The 4-flute geometry and 270-degree wrap angle promote chip evacuation and stable cutting at high feed rates. The bright uncoated finish suits general-purpose applications across a wide range of workpiece materials. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and precision bench mills running tight-tolerance part programs. Its 0.125-inch shank diameter and 2-inch overall length make it compatible with standard collet toolholding systems. The 0.625-inch neck length and 0.076-inch neck diameter allow access into pockets, slots, and sculpted surfaces without interference from the tool holder. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional spindle rotation. This tool is a single-end configuration, meaning it is replaced rather than flipped when worn.
Designed for use in standard 1/8-inch collet toolholding systems on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills requiring a single-end ball nose end mill with a 0.125-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before changing tooling. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the appropriate collet nut wrench when seating the shank in the collet to avoid under- or over-tightening. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator after installation, as excessive runout on a tool of this diameter will accelerate wear and degrade surface finish.
