The HARVEY TOOL 915205-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. It carries a 3/8 inch cutting diameter and a 0.0050 inch corner radius, which reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner geometries. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating improves heat resistance and wear resistance, making this tool well suited for dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. With four right-hand spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, it handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup.
This end mill fits applications in precision machining environments including tool-and-die, mold making, aerospace component work, and general CNC production machining. The stub-standard length configuration provides added rigidity, which is useful in tight setups or when minimizing deflection in harder workpiece materials. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard end mill holders or collet chucks sized for 3/8 inch shanks.
Designed for use with standard toolholders and collet chucks accepting a 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the CNC spindle fully stopped and the machine in an e-stop or locked-out state per applicable shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. This tool is intended for use by qualified machinists familiar with CNC milling feeds, speeds, and workholding practices.
