The HARVEY TOOL 908408-C3 is a 5-flute solid carbide chamfer mill designed for right-hand cutting operations on metalworking and machining applications. Built from solid carbide stock and finished with an AlTiN coating, this tool delivers hardness and heat resistance suited for high-speed milling passes on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The single-end design features a 90-degree included angle and a 0.0420-inch length of cut, making it well suited for deburring edges, producing clean chamfers, and preparing hole entries. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 1/8-inch shank diameter, it fits standard collet holders used across most vertical machining centers and CNC milling setups.
This chamfer mill is intended for precision machining environments where edge preparation and chamfering must be consistent and repeatable. It is commonly used in job shops, tool rooms, and production CNC environments working with steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials. The compact 1/8-inch shank suits small-bore collets and high-speed spindle applications where a lightweight, rigid tool is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment chamfer mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8-inch collet or collet-chuck toolholding systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing the tool from the collet. Use a calibrated torque wrench on the collet nut per the machine manufacturer specification to avoid shank damage or runout. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts.
