The HARVEY TOOL 905624-C3 is a solid carbide double angle milling cutter designed for precision milling of V-grooves, chamfers, and dovetail features in metalworking applications. It carries a 45-degree included angle and a 0.052-inch cutting width, making it well suited for tight, controlled passes where dimensional accuracy is critical. The 3/8-inch cut diameter and 3/8-inch shank diameter keep the tool compact and rigid. An AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and hardened-steel cutting conditions. Six teeth provide a good balance of chip load capacity and surface finish. This cutter is installed and run by machinists and CNC tooling professionals working on vertical or horizontal milling machines.
This cutter is used in precision machining environments where angle milling, groove cutting, or chamfering operations demand tight tolerances. It is appropriate for both production and prototype work on ferrous metals, stainless steel, and similar materials where the AlTiN coating provides thermal protection. The 2.5-inch overall length and 1/4-inch neck diameter allow reach into moderate-depth features without sacrificing rigidity. Typical applications include aerospace, tooling, and die-mold shops requiring consistent angular geometry on milled features.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide double angle milling cutter compatible with standard 3/8-inch shank collets and milling tool holders on CNC and manual vertical milling machines.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in an E-stop state before changing tooling. Seat the 3/8-inch shank fully in a clean, undamaged collet or end-mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cuts, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on small-diameter carbide cutters.
