The HARVEY TOOL 900812 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of metalworking and machining applications. This single-end tool features a 3/16 inch cutter diameter, a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length. With 3 flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The right-hand cut, right-hand flute geometry combined with an upcut flute design makes it well suited for climb and conventional milling passes. The bright, uncoated finish preserves the solid carbide substrate for use across a broad material range. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shop or production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is appropriate for milling slots, pockets, profiles, and contours in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece, eliminating the need for a pre-drilled pilot hole in many operations. At 3/16 inch diameter with a matching 3/16 inch shank, this tool fits standard collet systems and tool holders commonly found on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills. It is well suited for fine detail work, tight-tolerance slots, and secondary finishing passes where a small-diameter carbide end mill is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct application solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 3/16 inch collets and tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as excessive runout will reduce tool life and surface finish quality at this diameter.
